Today in class we had a dance party. To earn a dance party, you have to earn 10 hearts from Mrs. Winslow. Hearts mean show me the love. I think I went a little too wild. Now we are doing jobs and the dance party is over. It was fun! We listened to dynamite.

Author Study

Mary Pope Osborne is the author of the Magic Tree House Series. These are historical fiction books with a twist of fantasy. The main characters are a brother and sister team, Jack and Annie. They have discovered a magical tree house that whisks Jack and Annie into the past on many adventures around the world. Sometimes they even go to some mythical places like the Kingdom of Camelot. On these adventures, Jack and Annie use research books, maps, riddles, and codes, to solve mysteries and complete missions. These books are leveled between 2.0 -3.9.

Check out the research guides that go along with the series too! These are non-fiction companion books to the fictional novels. Research guides are leveled between 4.0 - 5.9.

Today in class we had a bad day, but we got 10 hearts and a short last reacess because the Missoula Theater people were here. The did make up on some kids.

Like the Adams Family, The Munsters, and The Grusomes, this is this is a story about a family of horror monsters that settles in surburbia. The heroine, a girl who lives next door to the Kreeps, is horrified by these weird and strange individuals who keep dangerous beasts, flesh eating plants, and play ball with shrunken heads. The main plot involves a girl trying to find a wife for her widower father. All her candidates are flops...but meanwhile Dad is making his own choice. Guess who he is after?

Math Test

Today in math, we had a test that was super easy. I zipped through it so fast. I was the fifth one done. After I get done with this post Mrs. Winslow is going to read to the class.
